Survivor is the best TV show ever, it's true. It's now in it's 25th season and I have never missed an episode. Honest. Not only do I faithfully watch this show but I'm also alert fans as to when the new season starts via my Facebook status (your welcome) so that no one misses out. Tragic but true, I'm a total Survivor nutter and I would make a fabulous contestant! Now, stop laughing, it's a long shot but I know I'd be brilliant for these reasons..........
1. When my dear friend got married, we learned to flax weave to make table runners. I could transfer those skills to my environment and weave sleeping bags, hats, mats and skirts for the tribe. Sounds useful, huh?
2. I'm always looking for things that my family members have lost around the house especially keys and money cards so I'd be great at hunting for the immunity idol.
3. Because I hate to be cold, I light the fire.....now I do need matches or a lighter to do this but I would be willing to train myself to use flint or I could wear fake glasses and use the sun to start a fire. Gotta be the hero who starts the fire on the first day!
4. I buy the That's Life magazine and do the puzzles plus each holidays we do a 1000 piece puzzle so surely I could do the puzzles in the challenges!
5. Due to working with teenage girls and having children, I'm pretty good at spotting fibbers.....I'd be able to sniff out a cheater, fake alliance or down right dirty liar.
6. As a family, we've been through some "poorer" times so I know that I could survive on rice or beans and I like to fish so I could catch some fish and cook them, plus after watching Masterchef, I'd be able to use all these ingredients and make a restaurant quality meal.
Probably the only thing that would work against me (well, maybe not the only thing) is the fact that I would probably drive everyone bonkers by talking too much :) I'm a talker and love meeting new people so they'd know my whole life history on the boat ride to the island and would have decided to vote me off already.
So, it's blog post number two and now you know of one of my obsessions. I get obsessed with certain things and during the course of my blog, I'll be sharing some of these with you.
Right, don't forget to watch Survivor this week ;)
Catch you next time,
